This week I had the pleasure of being invited to the Manchester Accident and Emergency and Urgent Care centre study day. I was invited to host an interactive session on the assessment and management of conditions of the hand and wrist in the emergency setting. Front line staff, who deliver care within emergency departments and urgent care settings joined in, as we discussed how best to diagnose and manage scaphoid fractures, wrist injuries, fractures to the fingers and hand, nail bed injuries, assessment of nerve injuries and assessment and management of tendon injuries. This was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational event. I look forward to be invited to the next event.
